Drunk Driving, Battery, Drug Possession, Traffic Citation: Lemont Police Blotter

LEMONT, IL – The Lemont Police Department has made a series of arrests in recent weeks involving a variety of criminal charges, including driving under the influence of alcohol, battery, drug possession and various traffic violations.

Local residents are reminded that criminal charges do not equate to a conviction and that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

Michelle Bereta-Gudino, 49, Berwyn, was arrested at 7.19am on March 21 and charged with driving while her license was suspended or revoked following a traffic stop at Lockport Street and New Aveue. Bereta-Gudino was given a May 5 court date at Bridgeview Courthouse.

Anna C. Sloan, 41, Lemont, was arrested at 7:57 a.m. on March 21 and charged with operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration and speeding (15-20 MPH Over Limit) following from a traffic stop at 127th Street and Amber Drive. Sloan was granted a May 9 court date at Bridgeview Courthouse.

Timothy P. Koonce, 19, of Downers Grove, was arrested at 9:20 a.m. on March 21 and charged with driving a motor vehicle with a suspended registration and no insurance following a traffic stop in New Avenue and Lockport Street. Koonce was granted a May 5 court date at Bridgeview Courthouse.

Shannon M. Riley, 29, Joliet, was arrested at 1:58 p.m. on March 21 and charged with driving with a suspended/revoked license, no seatbelt and violation of cannabis regulations and tax law at the following a traffic stop at New Avenue and 127th Street. Riley was granted an April 15 court date at the Will County Courthouse.

Antonio M. Cortes, 57, Lemont, was arrested at 6:41 a.m. on March 22 and charged with driving without a valid license (expired for more than a year) and incorrect turning at an intersection following an incident on Main Street and Illinois Street. Cortes was granted a May 15 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Devin T. Handy, 22, Joliet, was arrested at 11:25 a.m. on March 22 and charged with driving with a suspended/revoked license and without insurance following a traffic stop at 135th Street and Archer Avenue . Handy was granted an April 15 court date at the Will County Courthouse.

Andre Jones, 30, of Blue Island, was arrested at 10:35 a.m. on March 23 and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration following a traffic stop at Archer Avenue and 127th Street. Jones was granted a May 5 court date at Bridgeview Courthouse.

Abel Cabral, 37, of Lemont, was arrested at 11:31 p.m. on March 24 and charged with battery following an incident in the 14000 block of McCarthy Road. Cabral was granted a May 5 court date at Bridgeview Courthouse.

Akai Moloaitiev, 24, Schaumburg, was arrested at 10:01 a.m. on March 25 and charged with speeding (26-34 MPH Over Limit) following a traffic stop in the 17400 block of 127th Street. Moloaitiev was given an April 15 court date at the Will County Courthouse.

Janae A. Lee, 24, Joliet, was arrested at 10:23 a.m. on March 25 and charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license, operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration and without insurance following a stop of traffic in the 15800 block of New Avenue. Lee was granted a May 5 court date at Bridgeview Courthouse.

Devonta S. Jackson, 26, Chicago, was arrested at 7:46 p.m. on March 26 and charged with
driving with a suspended or revoked license and speeding (15-20 MPH Over Limit) following a traffic stop in the 11600 block of Lemont Road. Jackson was granted a May 9 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Daniel Zubik, 34, of Lemont, was arrested at 1:17 p.m. on March 27 and charged with assault following an incident at State Street and Illinois Street. Zubik was granted a May 9 court date at Bridgeview Courthouse.

Miguel Sanchez, 39, Joliet, was arrested at 3:13 p.m. on March 29 and charged with leaving the scene of an accident with damage to the vehicle and driving without insurance following an incident on February 11 on Archer Avenue and Derby Road. Sanchez was granted a May 9 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Sharon L. Moriarty, 59, Lockport, was arrested at 7:52 a.m. on March 30 and charged with driving while her license was suspended/revoked following a traffic stop at New Avenue and Brown Drive. Moriarty was granted a May 9 court date at Bridgeview Courthouse.

Robert Ortiz, 27, Cicero, was arrested at 4:22 a.m. on March 31 and charged with driving under the influence (alcohol), improper use of lanes, lack of insurance, lack of headlights and possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop at 127th Street. and Walter Street. Ortiz was granted a May 9 court date at Bridgeview Courthouse.

Andrew L. Wolf, 42, Joliet, was arrested at 1 p.m. on March 31 and charged with resisting a peace officer following an incident on June 4, 2019 in the 16400 block of New Avenue . Wolf was transported to Bridgeview Courthouse for a bail hearing.

Carlos Velazquez-Gonzalez, 19, Woodridge, was arrested at 4:26 p.m. on March 31 and charged with driving without a valid license (never issued), without insurance and expired registration following a traffic stop at New Avenue and Lockport Street. Velazquez-Gonzalez was given a May 5 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.
