TBO Extension obtains STC for Cessna Citation jets


Latitude Technologies, a provider of avionics hardware and satcom connectivity solutions, has received a TBO Extension STC (Supplemental Type Certificate) for the ENode Engine Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) and IONode Digital Data Logger (DDR). This certification will allow the installation of Latitude DAUs and DDRs on board several aircraft, including the Cessna 550 (Citation II), S550 (Citation S / II) and 560 (Citation V and Ultra) using Pratt & Whitney engine models. . This is in addition to a previous STC for the Hawker 400A / XP aircraft using data equipment from Latitude Technologies. The latest STC enables Latitude’s ENode DAU and IONode DDR to function as a key part of TBO Extension’s time slot extensions for business jet operators.

Latitude’s ENode DAU is designed to provide a cost-effective and sustainable alternative to traditional data acquisition units, providing a comprehensive analysis and sensing tool to monitor the health and stability of aircraft engines. The system enables Engine Condition Trend Monitoring (ECTM), FDM, and fuel management programs that automate the transmission of engine data and correct weather conditions for improved safety and fuel management.

The IONode DDR provides a lightweight flight data collection system to develop automated data-based FDM and FOQA management programs to complement this system. By recording and transmitting data, IONode DDR’s highly configurable digital and analog inputs allow operators to analyze data to meet fleet-specific program goals with pinpoint accuracy. Uploading data from on-board programs to fleet management is also streamlined with built-in WiFi offload capabilities, which allow smooth data transmission to Latitude servers without pilot or technician intervention, reducing errors and improving performance. ‘efficiency.
