Textron Aviation announced that it had received an order from Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS) for a special mission Cessna quote longitude and two special missions Cessna Citation Latitude jets. The aircraft will be fitted with special in-flight inspection calibration equipment and used by DHMI (National Airports Authority General Directorate) in Turkey to inspect navigational aids at regional airports.

“Textron Aviation is honored, once again, to be selected as the aircraft of choice for the critical mission of ensuring the integrity of the airways that constitute Turkey’s national airspace,” said Bob Gibbs, vice -President, Special Mission Sales for Textron Aviation. . “Longitude and Latitude continue the long heritage of Cessna Citation flight inspection aircraft in DHMI service, while providing additional capability and performance for its missions.”

DHMI began using two Cessna Citation V aircraft for flight inspection in 1993, which were replaced by Cessna Citation XLS aircraft in 2009. Longitude’s clean sheet design incorporates the latest technology throughout the aircraft, providing customers the lowest direct operating cost in its class. Powered by FADEC-equipped Honeywell HTF7700L turbofan engines with fully integrated automatic throttles with shroud protection, the Longitude offers best-in-class 800 hour/18 month maintenance intervals, Textron Aviation maintenance and diagnostic systems (ARES). No super-midsize business jet offers greater range, greater payload or higher cruise speed at a lower direct operating cost.

The Citation Latitude, with a four-passenger range of 2,700 nautical miles (5,000 km) at high speed cruise, sets itself apart from the competition with its combination of comfort and efficiency. Best-in-class 3,580-foot takeoff field length gives operators greater reach out of short fields. Inside, Latitude offers an unparalleled cabin experience with the most open, spacious, bright and refined cabin environment in its class. With a flat floor and six-foot cabin height, the innovation is packed with exceptional features designed throughout the aircraft.
